Instructions

  • Cream the softened butter, sugar, and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then gradually add to the butter mixture.
  • Fold in the chopped dried cherries until evenly distributed.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool for a few minutes on the tray before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
