Dough and Toppings

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni, diced
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Parmesan cheese for sprinkling

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients in one place. Pre-cut the pepperoni into small dice, shred the mozzarella cheese if using a block, and have your pizza sauce ready.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and slice it into squares, about 3 to 4 inches wide.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, diced pepperoni, pizza sauce, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well mixed.

Assembly

  • Take a square of the prepared pizza dough and place a spoonful of the filling in the center. Aim for about a tablespoon of filling.
  • Fold the dough square over and pinch the edges together to seal the filling inside. Ensure each bomb is properly sealed.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place each sealed pizza bomb on the sheet with some space in between.
  • Brush the tops of the pizza bombs with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  • Bake the pizza bombs in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let them cool for a few minutes before serving with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. These pizza bombs can also be frozen for up to three months.
