Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature.

Baking the Base

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Prepare the crust by mixing crushed graham crackers or cookies with melted butter and pressing into the bottom of a springform pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
  • Stir in the sour cream and heavy cream gently until well incorporated.
  • Add the desired flavoring and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes.
  • Once baked, turn off the oven and allow the cheesecake to cool inside for about an hour.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

Notes

To prevent cracks, use room temperature ingredients and cool the cheesecake gradually. Top with fresh berries or a fruit compote before serving.
