Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional frozen mixed vegetables. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the mixture.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the filling is bubbly around the edges.
  • Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes after removing it from the oven.

Serving

  • Scoop out generous portions and serve warm.
