  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup nuts or chocolate chips Optional.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure a smooth cooking process.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish or scoop it into muffin tins.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Serving

  • Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or whipped cream.

Notes
