Ingrédients
  

Apple Filling

  • 6 cups apples peeled and sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for apples
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold and diced

Salted Caramel

  • 1 cup granulated sugar for caramel
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt adjust to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Toss sliced apples with 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Spread evenly into the baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix oats, flour, and cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
  • Bake for 40 minutes, until topping is golden and filling bubbles.
  • Meanwhile, melt 1 cup sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until amber. Carefully stir in cream, then add sea salt. Let cool slightly.
  • Drizzle warm salted caramel over baked apple crisp. Let rest briefly before serving.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For extra crunch, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the topping. You can substitute coconut cream for dairy-free caramel. Best enjoyed warm with ice cream. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3–5 days.
