This Creamy Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Pasta is a hearty, flavorful dish combining smoky sausage, tender shrimp, and a rich Cajun-spiced cream sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a comforting Southern-inspired meal.
Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil and Cajun seasoning. Heat butter in a large skillet and cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté sliced sausage until browned. Add garlic and bell peppers and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer, then stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Return shrimp to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss everything together until evenly coated with the sauce.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Adjust the level of spice by adding more or less Cajun seasoning. For extra richness, add a tablespoon of cream cheese to the sauce. Best served immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
