Preparation

  • Start by gathering and preparing all your ingredients. Melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave, and mince the garlic. Juice your lemon and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk together so that all the flavors meld nicely.

Cooking

  • Arrange the crab legs in a steaming basket or on a large baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
  • Using a brush, generously apply the butter mixture over the crab legs until fully coated.
  • For steaming, cover and steam the crab legs for about 5-7 minutes until heated through. For baking, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Monitor the timing to avoid overcooking; the crab legs should be hot and juicy.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the crab legs from the heat and serve immediately on a platter or individual plates.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley just before serving.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture. Serve with a side of garlic bread and a glass of crisp white wine.
