  • 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, chopped This is the star ingredient, adding crunch and a toasty flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips These will drizzle beautifully over the top for added decadence.

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure to chop your Butterfinger bars in small pieces for even distribution.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Take your time with this step to ensure the butter melts fully without browning.
  • Once the butter is melted, add in the mini marshmallows. Stir continuously until they are completely melted and smooth, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add the Rice Krispies. Mix well until every piece is coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Gently fold in the chopped Butterfinger bars to ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Prepare a greased 9×13 inch pan. Press the mixture firmly into the pan using a spatula or your well-greased hands to ensure an even layer.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of your pressed treat.
  • Let your Butterfinger Rice Krispie Treats cool to room temperature, allowing them to set up nicely before cutting.
  • Once cooled, slice into squares and serve at room temperature for the best texture.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for up to two weeks. To enjoy warm, microwave a square for about 10-15 seconds. For freezing, wrap them individually and place them in a freezer-safe bag; they can last up to three months.
