  • Pour the melted butter into a 9x9-inch baking dish or cast iron skillet.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • Pour the buttermilk into the dry mixture and stir just until combined.
  • Drop the dough evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish.
  • Score the top of the dough into 9 squares with a knife.

Baking

  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Once done, let the biscuits cool slightly, then cut along the scored lines.
