Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and pre-measure them to streamline the process.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.

Making the Brownie Layer

  • In a bowl, melt the unsalted butter with the granulated sugar over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and whisk until smooth.
  • Stir in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.

Making the Cheesecake Layer

  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Assembling and Baking

  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  • Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter and spread gently.
  • Top with the remaining brownie batter and spread evenly.
