Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools. You’ll need a microwave-safe bowl for melting chocolate, measuring cups, a mixing spoon, and a tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Place chocolate chips in the microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted (about 1-2 minutes).
  • In a separate small bowl, mix together almond flour, cocoa powder, and salt until no lumps remain.
  • After chocolate is melted, add honey and stir until completely combined.
  • Gradually stir the dry mixture into the melted chocolate until it becomes thick and sticky.
  • Fold in chopped nuts if using.
  • Let the mixture cool slightly at room temperature.
  • Scoop out small portions and roll them into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Place the balls on the lined tray and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Once chilled, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer-term storage for up to three months. Thaw in the refrigerator or microwave for a few seconds before serving.
