Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper and drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the sheets.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.
  • Remove cookies from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

To enhance the flavor, try adding nuts or chocolate chips. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
