  • Measure out all the ingredients precisely to streamline the process.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning and allow it to develop a golden brown color for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once browned, remove the butter from the heat and let it cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the slightly cooled brown butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Beat the mixture on medium speed until smooth and creamy. If too thick, add a tablespoon of heavy cream and mix until the desired consistency is achieved.
  • Taste the filling and adjust flavors by adding more salt or vanilla extract if necessary.
  • You can use the filling immediately or store it in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Rewhip before using to restore texture.
