  • ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Start by washing and chopping the broccoli into small pieces, ensuring they're evenly cut for cooking.
  • Gather all your other ingredients so they're ready to combine.

Cooking

  • In a large bowl, mix the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, finely chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Using your hands, take portions of the mixture and form them into small rounds, about the size of a golf ball.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the prepared rounds on the baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake the rounds for about 20-25 minutes or until they become golden brown.
  • Once out of the oven, let the rounds cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a tangy dipping sauce or pair with salads and soups for a hearty meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
