  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients on a clean counter.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the butterscotch chips and chocolate chips.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Optionally, refrigerate them for longer storage. For soft cookies, include a slice of bread in the container.
