Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Chop the onion, mince the garlic, and set the beef tips aside.

Cooking the Beef

  • In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the beef tips and cook until browned on all sides for about 4-5 minutes.

Adding Aromatics

  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant for about 3-4 minutes.

Making the Broth

  • Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, stir well, and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 30 minutes on low heat.

Cooking the Noodles

  • While the beef simmers, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, about 7-9 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Thickening the Sauce

  • Mix the cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry, stir it into the beef broth, and cook for another minute or two until it thickens.

Combining Ingredients

  • Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles and make sure everything is well coated with the sauce, heating through for about a minute.

Final Seasoning

  • Taste the dish and season with salt and pepper as needed before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, marinate beef tips beforehand. Consider adding vegetables or spices for variation.
