Preparation

  • Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Season the ribs thoroughly on both sides.
  • In another bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar until well combined.

Cooking

  • Lay the seasoned ribs in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the ribs, ensuring every piece is coated.
  • Secure the lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  • Check for tenderness by ensuring the meat pulls away from the bone easily.
  • Remove from crockpot, let rest for a few minutes, and serve with extra BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

For a variation, try teriyaki sauce or adding hot sauce for spiciness. Ribs taste better the next day, making them great for meal prep.
