  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened Can substitute with coconut oil.

For the Cream Filling

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar Can substitute with a sugar alternative.
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese Can use dairy-free cream cheese.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mashed Bananas

  • In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until evenly combined.

Combine Ingredients

  • Add the mashed bananas into the dry mixture and stir to create a thick dough.

Form the Cookies

  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Cookies

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown along the edges.

Cool and Prepare Filling

  • Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
