Instructions
Preparation
Gather all your ingredients and ensure the flank steak is trimmed.
Halve the cherry tomatoes and dice the mozzarella.
Marination
Combine olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then coat the flank steak evenly with this mixture.
Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes; longer for more flavor.
Grilling
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Grill the marinated flank steak for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
Resting and Serving
Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
In a bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes and diced mozzarella, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and toss gently.
Top the sliced steak with the Caprese mixture and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Allow to cool before storing.
