Ingrédients
  

  • 6 cups apples sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish.
  • In a bowl, toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in the pie dish.
  • In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle topping over apples evenly.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
  • Cool 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For variations, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the topping, or mix in cranberries with the apples for a festive twist. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze up to 3 months.
