Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and ensure the cream cheese is softened.
  • If using fresh cranberries, rinse them and chop them finely.

Mixing

  • In a medium bowl, add the softened cream cheese and beat with a mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  • Fold in the chopped cranberries until evenly distributed.
  • Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice, mixing until smooth.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans to add a crunchy texture.

Chilling

  • Transfer the mixture to a serving dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.

Serving

  • After chilling, remove from the refrigerator. If the dip is too thick, stir to loosen it before serving.
  • Serve with crackers or bread arranged around the dip.

Notes

This dip can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator. It can also be frozen, though the texture may change slightly upon thawing. Serve chilled for best flavor.
